Two lovely things to cross my path this week and it’s only Wednesday! ………I read on the Free People blog (love the Free People blog by the way!) this wonderful quote by E.E .Cummings

and after much anticipation my signed copy of Pia Jane Bijkerk’s Little Treasures: Made by Hand arrived in my post box this morning, bursting with everyday beauty and inspiring handmade delicates for her baby girl, written in both English and French. Adorable!

Going back to “its the little things in life that make the big things in life” motto……after several stressful months, getting away was the best distraction. Simple little things reminding me where I need to get back to. Good strong expresso, sweet sugary bursts of colour and everyday words….

We are just back from the beautiful city of Cagliari in Sardinia. I was struck by its beauty – from the old narrow alleys in the infamous quarters of the city to the beautiful sunsets visible from high above. There was beauty at every turn.
These first series of shots are all taken with my Nikon D90 with a standard 50 mm lens with little or no editing.
