Changing Beauty……

These peonies (my favourite flower) were given to me by a friend on Sunday.  I am astonished by the drastic change in colour – still so beautiful, if not more so – after four days.  The first image was taken on Sunday and the second this morning – of the same flower.  Neither image has been edited at all, the first is so vibrant with dark glossy leaves and the second pale, faded and fragile….

Monochrome….

These two were taken today on the street at the parade, today is a local holiday here.  Amongst the colourful and vibrant costumes, balloons, flags and floral dresses these two little ladies stood out for me……
